She married Oscar Tidyman who grew up on an adjoining ranch. They became the parents of 8 children. Their favorite pasttime was to visit with friends and relatives. Many summer Sunday afternoons were spent down at the ranch at "Grandma's" house. Oscar, the quiet one amon gthe uncles, usually had one of his own youngsters on his lap, but if one of the neices or nephews crawled up there they were soon "Bucked off" or pinched so they would squirm and squirmers were not allowed to stay!
Helen enjoyed quilting and did quite a bit of it in the years after her chidlren were grown. She also became a Tupper-ware dealer, which gave her a chance to be out among people. She made new friends with these contacts, just as she had made friends all her life.
she had very long, heavy, honey-blonde hair which she alwasy wore in a coronet of braids. Even when it became mixed with silver it was still beautiful.
They were members of Evergreen Union church and they could always be depended upon to have their family in Sunday school and church service. They were ready to help out in whatever was needed.
